Hotel Deyzor & Restaurant

I wish there were more stars to rate the fine establishment of Deyzor Hotel. I have been to Spiti a number of times in the past and this year discovered the gem …….. Deyzor Hotel. And what a fabulous discovery it was. I spent 4 weeks in Kaza at Deyzor from April to May 2023. Karanbir, Kim and Staff set me up in a wonderful room with a desk (and WiFi) overlooking the valley so that I could work. All the staff were attentive, welcoming and provided wonderful service with extra care in the details. The variety of food offered was amazing, catering for a plethora of tastes in generous portions and always top notch quality. Karanbir, has an extensive knowledge and passion for History which is shared through the “library” of books on loan, with wonderful anecdotes and suggestions of the local culture and places to visit. If one listens closely you get to possibly visit some preciously guarded secrets in this magnificent Spiti. Karanbir takes note of his guests and always went the extra mile to offer a new experience or organise a bespoke option. It was a no-brainier, revisiting Spiti in October, Deyzor Hotel was absolutely part of the Himalayan experience. It felt like a homecoming…. With great Welcomes, comforts, extra special warmth and hospitality from everyone. The best welcome of course, by the great bundles of Saint Bernards and fur friends. Deyzor Hotel is a jewel in the crown of Spiti. As mentioned at the beginning…not enough stars for this review. Be back for 2024!!

Hotel Deyzor in Kaza provided us with an exceptional stay for five days. The food quality was simply superb, offering a delightful culinary experience throughout our stay. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. However, the true highlight of this hotel was the presence of their lovely dogs but my favourite is Azizem. His playful and welcoming nature added a special charm to our stay.

This place is epitome of love and inspiration. Karan, the owner of this place and our host has done it so beautifully that it's difficult to describe in words. Every nook and corner tells a story and adds to the character of this place. It's such a wholesome experience to stay at this place, with it's exquisite décor, calming music, soothing fragrance all across the hotel, warm and friendly staff always ready to help, delicious food, company of sweetest dogs, travel guidance from the host himself. We can go on and on and it will still not do justice to the experience we have had here. Karan, thanks a lot for being such a wonderful host, for creating something so magical and for sharing it with the world. We go back inspired to make this world a bit more beautiful, just like you did. Thanks to you, we now have another home away from home. I recently visited Hotel Deyzor in Kaza, Himachal Pradesh, and I was very impressed with the restaurant. The service was excellent, with Rakesh and Rahul going out of their way to make sure I had a great dining experience. The owner, Karan, was also very helpful and accommodating. Even when the phone network was not there, He gave his personal phone many times to meet our needs. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the vegetarian thali, which was full of flavorful and authentic Indian dishes. The portions were generous, and the food was very fresh. I also tried the many juices and smoothies which was refreshing. One of the things that really made my meal special was the two Saint Bernard dogs that live on the property. Azizem was a particularly friendly and gentle dog, and he made me feel very welcomed. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Hotel Deyzor Restaurant. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kaza.
